Required Care for your rabbit
You are required to provide proper care and nutrition to your rabbit.
A rabbit that is well cared for, is a contented rabbit that will be healthy and live longer.
Daily care includes:
1. pellet ration: depending on size of breed 1/4 cup to 1.5 cups of pellets daily.
2. hay: a good quality hay given at least every other day
3. water: fresh water given daily.
At least bi-weekly care:
clean out the cage.
At least monthly care:
Trim toe nails. Available to be done at the rescue for $5/trim.
IF you have a rabbit suffering from a malcullsion (bad teeth) get them trim VERY regularly....sometimes as often as once a week.
Extras:
Treats that are deemed safe and acceptable. Fresh green feed, pumpkin seeds, slices of banana and more.
Other treats could include: apple branches, oatmeal, bread crusts
Store bought treats: be sparing with these as they can contain too much sugar.
